Why WordPress
…for several reasons. WordPress is the the world’s most popular content management software (200+ million sites including eBay, Yahoo, CNN, Sony, Flickr, Wall Street Journal and many Fortune 500 companies currently use it).
WordPress is extraordinarily versatile and highly customizable, with thousands of templates, plug-ins and widgets already available. Most importantly, the user can easily add or modify the content without any specific programming knowledge. WordPress is also a real chameleon: you can have your site look like a blog, or a conventional web site (with or without a blog), a showcase or photographic gallery, an e-commerce store, a forum or whatever suits your needs. It also allows full interactivity because viewers can interact (if you want to).
From an SEO point of view it is the perfect solution because search engines such as Google just love WordPress, for the neat and highly optimized code and the freshness of content. It is well known that the key to rank well in search engines is having your content updated often, and this is also why we recommend WordPress. Almost all the sites we design have a blog section where pertinent information can be added regularly (even automatically if you wish).
So in short, WordPress is the ideal platform and a properly designed WordPress website will definitely improve your web presence, making your viewers enjoy and return and your site more visible on Google. Where’s the catch you may ask? The catch is that setting up all this requires a lot of skilled work. Amongst the many thing that must be taken care of there are: domain name registration and hosting, creation of email addresses, database and WordPress installation, basic theme choice, upload, installation and configuration of necessary plug-ins, installation of Google Analytics, addition of basic content and on-line contact form, submission to search engines, sitemap creation, configuration of all settings for better SEO. This is only the start, because the real hard work is of course to add, configure and optimize the content related to your business, including menus, logos, icons, photographs, graphics and so on. If your site needs e-commerce we will prepare the products database and shopping cart which could take a long time too. When everything has been approved the site can go live and only then we will complete the actual SEO optimization.
